In 2008, the People’s Committee of Da Nang City first organized the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival. Established to unite global cultures through the splendor of fireworks, this festival has evolved into a significant milestone within the realm of pyrotechnics. Throughout the years, the DIFF has become the most sought-after celebration in Da Nang because of its rich history and profound significance.
The annual event attracts a large number of tourists to visit Da Nang
Last year, 2023, the event recorded the engagement of 8 teams representing different countries from around the world, such as England, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland, and the home team Vietnam. DIFF 2023 officially concluded with the championship of the French fireworks team - Arteventia with a 20-minute 33-second performance titled “Illuminate with Love”.
Where and when does DIFF take place?
There is one thing you need to notice, the festival dates vary each year. Therefore, you need to check the official website (DIFF.VN) for the latest updates, if you want to fully enjoy the festival. Otherwise, you can plan your trip to Da Nang between May and July because this is the time that DIFF usually takes place.

As for the venue, there are two spots you need to know about:

Han River port area on Bach Dang Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District (firing ground).

The sidewalk area of Tran Hung Dao (artistic performance organization).
This port area is the periodic place for organizing the DIFF with a grandstand size of about 17.000 seats. The performance will take place in 5 nights including 4 qualifying nights and a finale night. During each competition night, teams will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks according to the theme of each evening agreed upon by the organizers, to light up the summer by the Han River.
Ticket price
You can purchase tickets online in advance or directly at the festival entrance with the average price range from 34 - 128 USD. Specifically:

Zone A (center stage) costs from 60 - 120 USD.

Zone B (stage left and right) costs from 32 - 40 USD.

The number of seats in the stands will be limited to around 5,000 daily, and organizers recommend early booking.
