Cu Da village is located only 20km from the center of Hanoi. It has a typical urban and riverside craft village style following French architecture mixed with traditional ancient Vietnamese house style. Cu Da village once had hundreds of ancient houses in its golden age. However, currently, there are only about 51 houses built in the style of ancient houses in the Northern Delta about 200 years ago.
Cu Da - A 17th-century village in Hanoi
Coming here, you will see houses with 2-storey designs, with balconies, Western-style but with curved eaves like a communal house roof. This gives the village a very different beauty.
Through many ups and downs of time and many historical events, Cu Da ancient village seems to still retain its original integrity. The houses are designed according to typical architectural features such as 3-room and 5-room tiled houses. In addition to architecture, Cu Da village is also famous for making soy sauce and making vermicelli.

Located on the outskirts of Hanoi, 10km northwest of the city center, there is a village named Dong Ngac, also known as Ve Village.
Dong Ngac Communal House, also known as Ve Communal House
Dong Ngac is one of the rare villages with a rich system of community cultural works, including communal houses, temples, pagodas, shrines, and literature. The special architecture in Dong Ngac village is the Dong Ngac communal house, also known as the Ve communal house.
What makes the small village famous is the old architecture from previous periods of residential houses or the remaining village gates, alleys, and house gates.
Khiem Bi Ancient School
A major project that must be mentioned in Dong Ngac village is Khiem Bi ancient school, built by the French colonialists in 1921. The school is a typical architectural work of mixed Asian - European style that is still quite original in this village.

Uoc Le Village is located in the southwest, about 30km from the center of Hanoi. This village is also considered a living museum of the typical agricultural lifestyle of the Northern Delta.
Uoc Le Village Gate
As soon as you reach the beginning of the village, you will step through the village gate which is as imposing as a city gate with typical architecture from the Mac Dynasty. The village gate is an architectural work with 2 floors. Below is a rustic brick wall, in the middle there is a wide archway, above is a gazebo. Surrounding the gate and the entire village is a small moat and thick bamboo fence - a typical Northern village to protect the village.
Uoc Le village still preserves its intact relic system with a dense density, including 6 communal houses, pagodas, churches, 6 ancient wells along with the village market, ancient banyan trees, and ancient houses. In addition, the village is also famous for the lean pork paste-making profession that has been formed and developed over 5 centuries.

Chuong Village is located in Phuong Trung commune, 30km southwest of Hanoi center. This is a famous craft village nationwide with a long tradition of making conical hats through conical products with a life of up to 300 years. In addition to the tradition of making hats, Chuong village still maintains the tradition of holding a weekly market at the village communal house yard to trade and buy hats and hat-making items.
