Co To Island, Quang Ninh
Co To Island is the only place in northern Vietnam with a licensed coral viewing and snorkeling service. Launched in April 2023, visitors can now explore coral reefs at Vung Tron, Hon Chim, and Hon Ong Tich, which are part of Thanh Lan Island and approximately 80 km from the mainland. The snorkeling tour costs around 1.5 million VND per person and includes electric shuttle service, boat transport to the snorkeling sites, fruits, refreshments, snorkeling equipment, and insurance. Additionally, there’s an underwater walking tour available for 1.3 million VND. Children over 6 years old can participate in these activities.

Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang
Located 8 km from central Da Nang, Son Tra Peninsula boasts beautiful beaches like Nam Beach, Rang Beach, But Beach, and Bac Beach. These beaches have steep slopes and clear waters, making them ideal for fishing and snorkeling. Day tours are available for approximately 600,000 VND per person. The tour starts in the morning from the city center. After visiting various places, participants head to the snorkeling area near Hon Sup, about 1.8 km offshore. Visitors are provided with life jackets, goggles, and snorkeling gear for shallow-water coral viewing.

Cu Lao Cham, Quang Nam
During a one-day exploration tour of Cu Lao Cham, visitors not only visit famous attractions on the island but also combine beach bathing with snorkeling using breathing tubes. Canoes take tourists to Hon Dai and Xep Beach for a coral-viewing and swimming experience. Before entering the water, participants receive instructions and are equipped with life jackets, specialized goggles, and snorkeling gear. These activities do not disturb the protected coral reefs at Hon La, Hon Dai, or Bai Bac and Bai Nan. The snorkeling session lasts about 30 minutes before returning to the beach for lunch. The all-inclusive tour for adults costs between 500,000 VND and 700,000 VND.

Ly Son Island, Quang Ngai
Snorkeling activities on Ly Son Island focus on shallow-water snorkeling at Be Island (also known as An Binh Island). Visitors on Be Island can purchase tours locally, while those on Greater Ly Son Island can either travel to Be Island or book an all-inclusive tour. The typical experience tour costs around 550,000 VND per person and includes transportation, net fishing, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) for the day. Participants are guided to Bãi Sau for snorkeling at depths of 1-2 meters.

Nha Trang was one of the first destinations in Vietnam to organize snorkeling tours for coral viewing. From Nha Trang city, visitors can take tours to islands such as Hon Tam, Hon Mieu, Bai Tranh, and Hon Mot. In addition to boat tours and island swimming, visitors can participate in snorkeling experiences, including tube snorkeling, scuba diving, and walking on the seabed. Depending on the provider, day tours with lunch included range from 600,000 VND to 800,000 VND. For scuba diving with oxygen tanks and underwater walking, costs are higher. Nha Trang also offers diving classes, with prices starting from 10 million VND.
