Friendly and Safe

Is Vietnam worth visiting

Vietnam is a welcoming travel destination

When planning a new journey, safety and hospitality seem to be two of the most first-concerned factors to consider.

Vietnam has carved its name as a go-to destination for many globetrotters. Casting back to the pre-COVID era of 2019, Vietnam was a bustling hub that graciously welcomed a staggering 18.5 million foreign visitors.  After the pandemic, Vietnam welcomed 5.8 million visitors in 2022 and 12.6 million visitors in 2023.

There have been no reports of any serious incidents involving foreign tourists in Vietnam in recent years. In addition to being friendly, the service in Vietnam is also very attentive and thoughtful. From the moment you arrive, you will feel like you are being taken care of.

You can also find real-world reviews and experiences of Vietnam on travel forums like Quora, Tripadvisor, and Facebook. These forums are a great resource for getting honest and unbiased feedback from other travelers.

Reasonable Travel Budget

Is Vietnam worth visiting

How much does it cost to travel to Vietnam?  Is Vietnam worth visiting?

So, the last thing on my agenda is travel budgeting. Spending for about a week in Vietnam (excluding airfare) while enjoying 3 - 4 star services can fall within the range of $400 to $600. This is more budget-friendly compared to South Korea or Japan and on par with exploring Thailand or Indonesia. Something worth pondering for your next international escapade, right?

Speaking from my perspective, the most value-for-money experiences in Vietnam revolve around hotel services, experienced tour guides, and the sensational local cuisine. Opting for a packaged tour ensures meticulous care for every detail, lifting the burden of planning off your shoulders. Sure, it might set you back around $600 for a week, but you can consider this for a hassle-free bliss. Of course, solo wanderers can freely navigate the adventure on your terms, potentially at a more budget-friendly rate.
