Selecting Halong Bay serves a dual purpose: it honors artistic values while also raising awareness about heritage conservation and environmental protection in the face of climate change.
According to the organizers, approximately 80,000 people are expected to participate in the event. Attendees will include policymakers, local administrators, artists, environmental activists, investors, students, and various community members.

Notably, over 200 European billionaires—who have previously participated in other “Art for Climate” events—are expected to attend, along with potential Asian billionaires. This will mark their first visit to Vietnam.
What makes this occasion even more special is that these billionaires plan to arrive in Halong Bay by superyacht. The organizers intend to collaborate with local authorities to arrange mooring spots for the yachts at beautiful sandy beaches nestled between the mountains of Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.
On September 16, a ceremony announcing the “Art for Climate - Halong Bay 2025” festival was held at the French Embassy. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hà Kim Ngọc, along with ambassadors from various countries, heads of international organizations in Vietnam, and representatives from businesses, attended the event.

The festival itself promises a vibrant array of activities, including music performances featuring global stars and renowned artists, educational workshops on climate change adaptation organized by non-governmental and governmental bodies, art exhibitions showcasing both local and international artists (culminating in an exciting art auction), a grand culinary event celebrating local and international cuisine, and a high-level environmental conference that includes guided tours within Halong Bay and crucial discussions on marine conservation.
