Ho Quoc Temple is located southeast of Phu Quoc island, about 15km from the airport and 26km from the center of Duong Dong town.
To get to this temple, you can take the Phu Quoc expressway and turn right onto Nguyen Van Cu Road, or start from DT45 road and after 2km turn onto TL47. Continue on TL47 for around 19km, and after passing the Montana resort, it's about another 1.5km to reach Ho Quoc Temple.
Ho Quoc Temple is situated on the mountains and faces the sea
Ho Quoc Temple is a massive spiritual complex, one of the largest in the Southwestern region. It is situated peacefully between the blue sea and the majestic mountains. The temple grounds cover an area of 110 hectares, making it a must-see destination in Phu Quoc. Construction began in 2011, with the name Ho Quoc meaning "to protect the country's seas and islands".
Within the temple grounds, there are several notable structures, including a version of the One Pillar temple, a Tam Quan gate, and a massive solid jade Buddha statue. The centerpiece is an ornate golden dragon mural combined with a lotus.

When you climb to the second floor, you'll find the bell tower, drum tower, and the main hall completely built of precious ironwood and original stone. Flanking the main hall are statues of 18 Arhats, each with a distinct facial expression. The most impressive feature is the towering statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, standing tall amidst the mountains and sea.

Dinh Ba is located about 3 km from the center of Duong Dong town. You have 3 ways to get from the town to the palace. But the fastest way is to go along ĐT 45 road and then turn into Nguyen Van Thu Street. After that, turn into Nguyen Trung Truc Street and go straight to the intersection with Vo Thi Sau Street. At the intersection, you just need to walk a few more steps to reach Dinh Ba temple.
Dinh Ba worships a mother goddess who established early life on Phu Quoc island
Dinh Ba is an ancient temple with an unknown construction time. But this is a very sacred place, the local people always visit this place before going out to sea to pray for safety.
The temple worships a mother goddess, it is said that she was once a Cambodian princess. When the dynasty collapsed, she escaped and brought her herd of cows and buffaloes to Phu Quoc island. She cleared the land and created a prosperous life on the island. The local people built the temple after her death to remember her merits.
Dinh Ba impresses with its ancient church-like architecture, with bright red tiles. The gates and columns are elaborately carved with dragons and phoenixes in many colors.
Su Muon Temple

Su Muon temple also known as the Hung Long Tu was built around the 1930s. To get here from the center of Duong Dong town, you need to go along the Duong Dong - Ham Ninh road westward for about 5km, then turn right to reach the temple.

As you walk around the temple grounds, looking out towards the sea, you will feel a sense of peace. The scenery of the temple has a lot of green trees, making the atmosphere fresh and airy.
The main hall of the temple has a 3-meter high stone foundation, with a simple interior, and statues of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. In front of the main hall is a statue of the Avalokiteshvara Buddha sitting on a lotus throne, with two natural stone sculptures of dragons and tigers on the sides.

Behind the main hall are century-old giant trees, with wide-spreading branches that provide cooling shade over the entire temple grounds. Here you can admire the over 200-year-old Ko-nia tree (Irvingia malayana Oliv. ex Benn), at the base of which is a statue of the sitting Buddha Shakyamuni with a contented smile.

Sung Hung Temple is the oldest and most beautiful temple on Phu Quoc island. Sung Hung Temple is located about 2km south of the center of Duong Dong. The temple is only 450m away from Dinh Ba and about 600m from Dinh Cau.
The temple integrates the worship of Buddha and the worship of deities. The overall architecture of the temple is harmonious, rising in steps, surrounded by lush greenery and enclosing walls.
Sung Hung Temple is known as the oldest temple on Phu Quoc island
As soon as you enter the courtyard, you will see a statue of the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva standing on a pond. There are also shrines dedicated to the Lady of the Land and the national hero Nguyen Trung Truc.

Dinh Cau Temple is located only about 200 meters west of the Duong Dong town center, so you can easily travel there. Dinh Cau is situated on a large rocky hill, right next to the lighthouse at the strait where ships pass by.
Dinh Cau temple has the most unique location in Phu Quoc
Dinh Cau was built in 1937. According to local lore, in the 17th century, the fishermen of Phu Quoc would often face rough seas and many could not return home. One day, a rocky outcrop gradually emerged near the mouth of the strait, providing a haven for the fishermen during stormy conditions. The locals believed this was a sacred place protected by deities, so they built a temple to worship there.
Dinh Cau has unique architecture, harmoniously blending traditional Vietnamese house and village gate styles. The temple is built with traditional materials like wood, bamboo, and tiled roofs.
